I was born 1956 in Sävedalen, Partille, outside of Gothenburg, Sweden and I went to artschool in Gothenburg and for five years at Malmö Konstskola Forum in Malmö.

About my paintings;

Since some years ago I'm working with a examination, a running project within painting and drawing – mostly with hybrid forms between them.

The subject for my pictures is being born as a result of the material, but still it follows a main track.

The subjects circle round a sphere of concept, which go through different displacements/transformations and metamorphosis from picture to picture.The main theme touch upon questions about memory and forgetfulness, about the absurdity of existence and our failures in the striving to try to understand it.

In my work appears the sources of visual inspiration and desire of contemplation, which I met throughout the years.

I can see referenses too comic strips from the fifties and sixties (such as The Katzenjammers Kids / Knoll och Tott) as well as too medival churchpaintings from Gotland and the Italian Renaissance.
